Testimonials from schools

"Brent Knoll is a special school for children with social, communication and interaction difficulties including autism.

We invited ER events into the school to work with our year 9 groups on improving communication skills, working as part of a team, meeting deadlines and problem solving. The children had to make a shelter that they could all fit into using paper. The students thoroughly enjoyed the activity and learnt some good life skills along the way.

Year 10 and 11 had a focus around transition and employability – they covered aspects such as design and marketing (in a Young Apprentice workshop), communication in the workplace, apprenticeships, meeting employers from a range of industries relevant to them (careers speed networking) and getting to ask them questions, as well as preparing and then having a mock interview, preparing them for when they are applying to colleges and employers. Students thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the ‘World of Work Day.’

The whole event was planned meticulously and was well organised and resourced. We look forward to next years event."

Paul Shaw, Brent Knoll School, July 2017

"Without your expertise and seamless organisation skills, it would never have been as easy as it was to turn a weeks worth of planning into a hugely successful day. I am in your debt. Please extend an enormous thank you to your team, thank you Rachel for also being on the ball and so organised, proficient and professional on the day. Alongside Ellie you are an awesome team”.

Patricia Smith, Prendergast Ladywell Fields College April 2016

“Thank you both so much for making the day such a success. As always, it was a pleasure working with you and hope to be able to do it again soon."

Celine Nembhard, Deptford Green March 2016

"Thank you again for helping us provide a fruitful day for our students – not to mention an amazingly organised one. There were lots of very positive comments from staff and students at the end of the day.

I look forward to working with you again next year!"

Sandy, Correlli College, July 2016

"Thank you for such a wonderfully organised day and for your support in putting on the two events.  Feedback was very positive and students were engaged and thoroughtly enjoyed the day.

We look forward to working with you again and very much appreciate your input into our Careers Programme."

"The interviews with employers were overwhelmingly received from all students. They described the experience positively and could explain clearly the aim of the session."

Testimonial from business

“I, along with colleagues have volunteered and attended a large number of Employability Skills School events across South East London organised by ER Events.

These events are extremely professionally run and this enables the students to receive the absolute maximum benefit from the short time that they spend with the outside professionals that visit them.

ER Events personnel make it easy for events to succeed and the feedback received from the School and the professional participants is always very positive.

Initially, it isn't easy to stand up in front of a class full of pupils and deliver an Employability Skills presentation but due to the strong support provided by ER Events, this process is made significantly easier.

The number of repeat volunteers we receive is testament to the success of the process

Keep up the good work!!"

Richard McCaughin - Barclays Bank Plc, Vice President - Volunteer, 2015 - 2017

“I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the day at Prendervast Vale today. The whole event was really well organised .”

Karen Lovesey, Prime Ministers Press Office July 2016

It was an absolute pleasure to meet the children at Trinity School and from a personal perspective this was a very worthwhile experience. It was rewarding to help promote interview skills so these kids can have the tools needed to achieve what they would like in life. It was a joy to see the kids get a lot out of the day and appreciate our support.

Angela Bowden, Barclays, Volunteer 2017

"Having ER Events do employability related activities at Trinity is a wonderful experience for pupils. The events are so well attended by a broad range of employers and pupils leave inspired and enthused about the opportunities and possibilities out there in the workplace for them.

Ellie and Rachel  are a joy to work with. They have such a professional approach and make everything run like clockwork, resulting in rewarding and stress free careers events – brilliant!"
