
K'nexx Build a Park Challenge
An activity using K’nex pieces in which students, working as part of a team, are provided with a brief and act as town planners to design and build a new park.
They build the park equipment using K’nex pieces whilst working to a deadline and within a budget.
Aims & Objectives:
To undertake a task set in a work context; working to a brief, working to a deadline, understanding budgets and finances. It also uses the following key skills:

Team working: respecting others, negotiating & persuading, contributing to discussions, and awareness of interdependence with others.

Problem solving: applying maths, science and DT to a practical problem.

Enterprising: innovation, creativity, a ‘can do’ attitude and the drive to make ideas happen
